Upon trying to start Half-Life, it gives me this error: "your system reported only -100080 K of physical memory, HL requires at least 16 MB."

Obviously this is an error within the game because it's the same computer I play CS:S and Far Cry 2 on without a hitch. It's an HP Pavilion dv5 1235dx.

So is there a fix?

are you running xp/vista 64 bit?

i'm pretty sure that would be your problem man, if you've got vista try running it in compatibility mode ( right click the .exe, go to properties, then compatibility)

maybe that can help?

Perhaps you need a patch? Or something to convert the KB into Canadian KB, that way it's a bit smaller... LOL jk

install Steam (valves online app store). Then input your cd key into steam and download the game through there. You will get the latest patched version for modern pc's.

that game originally came out when windows 98 was still around, so thats why it has some bugs on modern operating systems.

Ahah, I remember that error.

I still think CS 1.6 is better than source lol, but the graphics are crappy, that's for sure.

Do you play DOD:S much? My bro has most steam games and I am baller at that and L4D =)
