Ok...
So far I've had the driver side axle replaced prior and also had the hub & wheel bearings replaced (Costed me over $600!!!) The problem I'm having is when I make left turns or try to make a full u-turns to the left. The car feels like the wheel is about to cave in. I feel the car jerk a little to the left as if the whole wheel is going to fall sideways. I don't know why could it be. I'm scared making left turns so I do it very slowly. Making right turns & driving straight are not a problem. I had my friend drive the car for me in a parking lot and when he was turning left to park the car i had him stop in the middle of turning left and noticed my left tire was sitting more crooked then usual. We looked under car into the inner part of the rim but didnt notice anything...Probably cause I'm not to knowledged in this sector of the woods about cars. Is it possible that the lower control arm is bent? or something else? I tried to compare how the left side looked to the right and didnt see anything out of the ordinary. The wheel bearings and hub was replaced not even a month ago and had the axle replaced about 2 1/2 months ago. Also when I make a full left turn I hear a light metal rubbing sound. Any ideas??? thanks guys for any help! Oh and no! I did not smash into a curb or hit a giant pot hole to cause this! My celica is like my SON I take super car of him. Just curious, did it do this before the work was done? It sounds like someone forgot to tighten some bolts or perhaps they over torqued and broke 1 or more of them when re-installing the hub. That "little jerk" you feel is something shifting that shouldn't be shifting. You need to take the car back or if you don't trust that shop take it to another shop that is reputable.
Good luck. |
