So my in the late 90s my father got annoyed by the alarm system in the celica so he cut it out(literally) and has since forgot how it goes back together, what i need from you people is how do i wire it back up.I don't think its the stock alarm, its an avital 5303-100..It has one about 14 gauge grey wire coming out the back, then under it has a black wire(dual) which i assume to be ground,a red wire(dual) that was cut and looks like fuses spliced into it and this weird little metal block that looks like it was attach onto a very high gauge wire,it also has a small grey, yellow and light orange(mabye pink) wire coming out of it.I havent looked in the celica bay yet to wire it up,Ill get pics of it up tomorow. If any has this alarm or can help me out and tell me how to wire this thing up please post:D

it will be pretty hard to do. basically you need the alarms factory wire diagram and match the wires to the 6gc wiring.
http://www.6gc.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=16174 that link is the wireing for the 6gc. |

Ive put in a ton of DEI alarms (DEI owns Avital, Viper, Python, Clifford, etc...) and this wiring looks to be from a model made before DEI bought them out (they all share the same wiring colors).... try hitting up your local best buy install bay. They have a pretty large database and would prob be willing to find a wiring diagram for you if you schmooze them enough.

You're really better off just getting a new alarm system. One with diagrams.
otherwise, check http://www.the12volt.com -------------------- |

You'd be wasting your time putting an old piece of crap like that back in your car. Even if you did get a diagram and wire it up correctly you would have nothing but problems withe remote programming and the tx/rx would give you a headache in there and stuff. Trust me it will end up being a nightmare...just wave up and get a new one...most of the time you can find them on sale with a free install to boot

Well this alarm is based on current draw off the battery, its also wired to the doors and trunk light,so if ANYTHING draws power from the system the alarm sounds(when armed). And on a hot day the radiator fans sometimes stay on to cool the engine even after the engine is off,and if it wasnt wired it would immediately sound the alarm.Makes sense to me .
Wired it up and it works great, its amazingly loud,as soon as i put the fuse in it made a sound to tell me it was on and it just about made me pee myself. If anyone cares: red-power black-ground tan-trunk/hood/door lights yellow-radiator fan thick grey-antenna little grey-no idea..haha This post has been edited by CelicaST_CALI: Jan 13, 2010 - 12:09 AM -------------------- BANNED. for life, you moron.
