Yes, the site is dying. But it has been for a long time, and barring catastrophic failure it probably won't completely die out any time soon. Even if the site does crash, Coomer fixes it in a day or two. Granted, he's not updating the site, but at least he fixes it when it crashes. There used to be more members on here. Most sold their cars. Then new members stepped up and replaced them. One day, most of the members you see on here now will be gone, but by that time you will be one of the knowledgeable members of 6gc.

Like everyone else said, it's the holidays right now. Things will pick back up soon enough. Even then, this website will still be the same few people.

i usually check daily.. but don't post a whole lot anymore... kinda got bashed for my "spray paint paintjobs".. so kinda lost interest in participating in project posts..

but what I really miss are the crazy project cars.. there are a few going on now, but i remember back in the day having threads with 200+ pages of people doing supra tail lights, front end conversions.. etc.. that was always awesome to see and follow up on..

It does seem like a lot of guys are selling their cars.. :-/ I breifly thougth of selling mine to get a truck but i'm so glad I didn't.. almost every day walking out of work, i look at my car and just get excited knowing thats my car and it looks great..

Just stick with the site, you will find the 6gc community may be slow at the moment, but its a true great club.. So many car guys are stuck up and just flat out mean... most people with 6gc's are willing to help and knowledgable about the cars. smile.gif

Thanks 6gc. smile.gif

The general economy is also not helping. People are just trying to keep their cars running let alone mod them or buy a new/different one. Give it time. About a dozen 6th gens appeared in my area of Charlotte out of no where.

I only signed up yesterday because this site offers so much more than most of the others i have checked and its free to sign up! Kinda annoying when things are bulk in US bacdk here in the UK it seems JDM parts for the faff are as rare as rocking horse sh*t.

im sure the members will be back, like they say it is holidays and cold. most DIYers here dont wanna be out in the cold doing bits to the car and its to expensive to take it to a garage.

Im always checking this site, loads of useful info and 2 days has teached me alot already. Thanks for the community guys and keep up the good work!

I can pretty much echo what everyone here has said...I would be devastated if this site died, and I for sure log in everyday. Additionally, I try to help when I can with my limited knowledge, and having said that, I'd like to learn so much more. This site needs to stay, and as long as it does, I will. thumbsup.gif

Of course, the people that do make this site, did the innovative swaps, and own the 'iconic' cars deserve all the thanks.

Yeah, and our cars are getting older and older. and fewer and fewer people are able to do the work; Plus we're just not "cool" anymore. Not unless you own a green-SUV. lol @ me following that fad rolleyes.gif
