i searched you post when someone said that this thread is like a reposted idea. im so curious on how good it runs.

so same principles apply to 6gc swap with a diff fwd engine from other manufacturers? as long as the person knows what he's doing and has the resources it would be fine

F20C swap into any older toyota is always a good idea. My buddy just did a swap into his AE86 with the gauges and 6spd and all.

A boosted F20 with the new(ish) add-on VTEC cams would be pretty awesome.... Theres a 3SGTE replacement for someone with resources and time.

im with faust why not just swap a 2jz or a toyota v8 (forgot the engine code)... and stay in the toyota family

i give the guy points for it but it seems every one is swapin these motors into every thing

i seen a 72 with a v8 and to find the nearest bathroom after

i believe pg 8 on the thread, his 1st option was a 2jzgte

here's what he said

QUOTE
went with the f20c because of easily accessable parts, 9,000k RPMS, strong yet reliable engine, and for that all around balanced car.......

my first engine option was a 2jzgte....... i drove two old schools with it 2JZGTE swaps and didn't like the feel.... it's like driving a TANK.... TOO FRONT END HEAVY................. THE POWER WAS TOTALLY COOL AND SCARY all at the same time.... and i WILL kill myself with that swap in it.........

oh and the celica is only around 1600 - 1800lbs.........

here's a customer's car that we did...... 73 carina with 2jzgte....

im not much fan of honduh's but this guy is amazing.

Well, I am just for keeping engines with their car makes is all. Not just me though, but as car enthusiasts. I mean, why stop there? Why not get aluminum, make a body of a car and just place it on a jet engine? See what I mean? There is integrity of the make to keep in tact... I mean hell, the guy is free to do whatever he wants... I'm just saying...

I am so die hard Toyota, that even things such as this make me want to tear up with sadness...

But I DO respect and really appreciate when Honda guys use their own motors and do crazy stuff like RWD, or the MR CRX. That's awesome! I give props to that.
