ok so my window is grinding going up and down and i believed at first it was the regulator but it seemed like the motor was straining pretty bad to get it up the last time. So i start searching car part website (advance auto, auto zone, oriely's and ebay) and i cannot find either part. Has anyone had this problem and does anyone know where to get these replacement parts?
any help is greatly appreciated! thank you, Brandon -------------------- |

If the regulator is starting to fray or bind, which I would guess it is since there are grinding sounds, the motor will struggle to roll the window up and down, which will make the motor sound bad. Not saying that it's for sure a regulator, but I'd take the door panel off and look before ordering 1 part or the other.

I have the same problem. The wire is fraying and it bound up somewhere in the track. Anyone experience how to fix this?
