Was just reading through this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toyota_Street....281999-2007.29

Looks like the 90-99 MR2 had those power folding mirrors that are oh-so-rare for our cars...anyone got a closer picture of them? I'd be game to be a test bunny and open up some new options for the community here if they look to be a good fit.

Yes, but I was looking to see if they'll fit a 6GC, thus opening up an option for those of us who want to do the power folding mirror swap. (As I do.)

I think it's worth a shot. I wouldn't be surprised if they would fit. Figure that they're made within a similar year range to the Celica, and that the 5'th gen mirrors fit. I would imagine that there is quite a bit of part-interchangeability going on, for the sake of Toyota's wallet. I would venture to say that they will fit with little to no modification.

Nope, I know RPMGarage has a couple pairs up right now, but that is REALLY uncommon. They're usually impossible to find.

I'm wondering if the JDM MKII MR2's mirrors will fit onto a 6gc, as that'll open up another option for people looking for JDM 6GC mirrors but not able to find them. We're waiting on JasonTX to test it out.

well the short answer is no.

since i had the brackets a s well as the mirrors i tried every different combo i could to test and see if they will fit. the brackets dont bolt in the same places on the celica door. the mr2 bases dont line up on the celica bracket and the mr2 mirror part wont swap on the the celica bases

so there ya have it. sorry espo looks like your stuck with getting the real deal

Damn lol. Yeah I wouldn't be too keen on drilling holes in the base of a mirror just for the sake of power mirrors. Thanks for trying though!
