...I need to see back of the block where knock sensor connects to the engine?
I found loose connector just dangling above passenger's side axle and have been trying to figure out where it goes: http://www.6gc.net/forums/index.php?showto...mp;#entry846353 I have tried to reach behind the block to see if anything is unplugged (seeing there is real b!tch) and can't feel anything. The picture would be great help to see where all the sockets are. Thanks! -------------------- '94 ST

Sounds like your second O2 Sensor that is normally attached to the downpipe. Otherwise it could be MAF sensor, AC idle-up valve...which majority are attached to firewall.
But for it to be that low, sounds like o2 |

Hmm, mine is disconnected, without any DB increase =P
I do have aftermarket header though, and a downpipe without that sensor. Only reason I believe its that, is cause I just disconnected it this past weekend. Thankfully no CELs ATM, but I assume it only caters to the first sensors activities This post has been edited by rave2n: May 7, 2010 - 12:46 PM |

really, no DB increase? do you mean the electrical connection is detached, or is it out of the down pipe completely?(leaving a "hole" in the exhaust)
I do have "headers" but when I had nothing plugging the o2 sensor hole it was loud! (sorry for jacking the thread, im just curious) -------------------- |

Ah, didn't realize you ment with just a open hole. Lol yea, then it would be loud as hell.
Mine came with another downpipe, without the sensor hole.... And don't worry about jacking his thread, this is his second one on it and he hasn't seemed to check the obvious. For instance the knock sensor being only 1 wire (Presure2's Statement) and the connector obviouslly being 2 prong, and I'm pretty positive its a O2 sensor connector being I just disconnected it. |
