Not 100% of all the details, but for those of us local guys (DFW) we all know JHOT. And I was reading on DI.net today that JHOT is doing this thing for Yahoo Japan Auctions. Pretty much for those that do not know, JHOT is an importer and sometimes (rarely) has some nice Celica parts at great prices. Now they are allowing buyers to place bids (of sorts, you state max you are willing to pay) and submitting the bids on behalf of the buyer. Then have the part brought over and distributed. After looking at a few of the auctions, it looks like a good deal (100 for a GT-4 bumper). Im going to drop them an email and see how this works exactly and get back here and throw up the answer. So this might be abit premature, but figured at least the local guys can take advantage of this!
But as of now its just a small sampling of what I pulled
GT4 Bumper (white) - 66
Cusco adjustable pillow mounts - 206
Cusco Strut Bar - 105
GT4 Brake set (calipers/rotors) - 495
C-One "Underbody panel" - 178
GT4 Riser Blocks/Spoiler - 55
GT4 Fender (Left/Right) - 11 Each

Well you get the idea...my mouse is dying so I gotta go. I will post more when I find out the exact details.

11 dollars for JDM fenders? That's not bad at all.

Watch for shipping though, sometimes those great deals wind up costing a few hundred in shipping.

thats what im trying to get info on. i wouldnt immage it would be too much more extra as they get a conx like once a month and they'll throw the items on it.

OK, so I got this back...
"Yes, there are additional costs on top of the auction price, as spider77 mentioned. As of right now, we are calculating them on an individual basis. Currently the best way for us to give a quote is to use our submission form on our website for each specific item you are interested in. In the total cost field, please indicate what you would pay for the item, as if it were here and ready to be purchased (this is the price we need to know in order to calculate our fees and your maximum bid that can be placed on the auction). We will give you a quote with all of our fees included before anything is agreed upon. If the fees are too high, then you simply do not have to continue with the purchase. If your offer price is too low, we will let you know how much more you would need to pay in order to place the minimum bid.

We currently do not have a fee chart ready to be published, but to give you an idea, our fees are calculated based on the size, location, and value of the item. We feel that we can offer competitive fees and will improve on this system as we progress. Right now, we are asking you to offer your final price, prior to knowing what the fees will be. This process will evolve and adapt as we learn better ways to process all of the information.

I'm sorry, but at this time we do not offer consignment deals. The item will need to be shipped to or picked up by the person that makes the payment for the item.

Regards,
Jonathan "
So pretty much offer your max as if it were stateside and ready to roll, then go from there.

You know what, I thought I put it in the first post (sorry still a bit dazed from celebrating last night). I'll include the JHOT post from DI.net, and the JHOT website as well. Just as long as we are clear that I am in no way a middle man of any type (already got a few PM's about this). If you have any questions or need clarification let me know and I'll be glad to ask!
DI.net Thread.
JHOT Imports
Again, I have no idea how much a total shipping cost would be (hopefully they get that worked out.....as now its on a case by case). But considering how much this stuff goes for there+shipping+profit (and I mean Ebay Sellers for the most part), this might be a chance to get some good deals.
Ok, so read the DI thread and all my ?'s are there with the answers from JHOT.
To make it all barney style:
1.) Place max bid through JHOT form
2.) Get approved and throw don 50% deposit
3.) Wait for part to get shipped stateside
4.) Pay the rest of costs (if your local prepare to pay sales tax) when part is ready to go to you.

Now they require at least 24 notice on stuff. And they are not open on weekends. I advise anyone doing this to read the thread from DI. Like I have said in some PM's. I am not a middle man, you need to go through JHOT for this. Im just putting this on here cause JHOT is local to me, and I have gotten nothing but excellent service from these guys.

Is that the white 'Four bumper you were talking about? I've been browsing Yahoo Japan for a little while now and I'm not seeing much that catches my attention besides that. There is a lot of really good stuff on there, just nothing that I could really use. I'm sure there will definitely be stuff come up though. I'll be watching this.

the one i posted about was so long ago. I got an email this weekend, and with the exhange rate being what it is and what not, it'll cost me bout 150 to get a 50 dollar item. Which isnt that bad, (Im figuring the 100 is shipping, taxes, etc...) Either way 100 extra sure beats some of the other shipping costs Ive seen. Im hoping that they (Jhot) get a good ordering system down though, it'll make it alot easier.
