This has been happening for awhile now. Initially I had a bad serpentine belt and replaced it. The sound stopped for awhile but eventually came back. Now I have no idea what is causing the sound. I added power steering fluid and that worked to a degree but now that doesn't have any affect at all. The sound seems to stop once I either hit a certain amount of RPM's or once the car has been in motion for awhile. I was wondering if anyone could give me some answers. Here is a vid for further examination.

Make sure that belt you just replaced is not to tight, or to lose. Also confirm other things that are on that belt are functioning correctly.

wow. looks like you have a 5th gen steering wheel.

Anyway, it could be any of the pulleys maybe making noise, also does the ST have a separate power steering belt? could be that belt making noise if so.

No, it looks like a hooker put her acid vag on your hood. Acid vag = bigger problem than a few dings.

I'll check all that out. How tight should the belt be on?

Try getting some belt dressing (it comes in a spray can, you can buy it at any parts store) and spray the inside of your belts with it, and see if the squealing stops. If your belts are on properly, and they're in good shape, you could just need to apply that belt dressing which will stop the squealing noise.

The same thing happened to me, I replaced all my belts and it still did it, but once the weather started warming up it doesn't happen anymore. So I guess the motor just need to warm up.

It's not the motor, it's the belts that are warming up, and the belt dressing will eliminate the issue if that's all it is

X2 on this

HOWEVER,

I had a smilar problem and used belt dressing. When I had applied it the noise got worse (much louder). Turned out it was my alternator pully.

That's the pulley, not a bearing, that's making that noise.
