Has anyone used the stair extension on those rug doctor machines that you rent to clean your seats or carpet? Me and a friend want to give this a go and clean our interiors but was wondering if anyone has tried it before and can shed some light on it.

Never used one of those monsters, but use a little green machine once a year which is the same kind of extractor just smaller. Be ready not to sit on the seats for a while because no extractor will get them completely dry. Takes a couple of hours for the dampness to dry out depending on your weather and how good your machine is at pulling out the fluid. Do the seats first starting with the back so they can be drying while you do the carpet. I don't know how small the stair nozzel is for one of those things, but your going to have some tight places to get to. I bought the green machine because it's small extractor nozzels are perfect for getting everywhere that's tight.

I use a Bissel and it works well. Just make sure you air out your interior well.

If you use the upholstery attachment on it, it should be just fine.

Yes. I have used a Rug Doctor on my car several times. Since they are rentals, they have typically been abused and don't work as well as personal units, so I try to borrow one when I can, but the Rug Doctor will work. Also, your car will smell pretty strong for a couple of days.
