i don't think resin would be a good choice. wouldn't it be more prone to fracture if it were to skid against the pavement? i think it should stay aluminum. that way if it bottoms out, it'll just make a dent.

If those are fiber glass, it would fracture for sure... but at the moment I dunno what the exact name of that material... might not be exactly resin, but must contain some sort of plastic inside.

And if not much interest, I will simply pass. Then its not the matter of choosing what kinda material.

Depending on the price I would also be very interested. I will be driving my Celica in the snow so it would definitely be good to have this protection.

I would be interested, but i agree with azian, most of the ppl that will be able to afford this are already somewhat modified i would think, meaning they would be lowered=a lot of abuse on this thing.

What about the oil drain plug?I see a small hole in it,but the oil isnt gonna shoot through that the entire drain time...

how much are you looking at as a price? also if you are making them out of aluminum, what thickness are you gonna use? i'm looking for a skid plate, but i don't want to spend an ass load on one since i'll be beating the hell out of it with rallying the car. i made one that worked for a while, but got tore up pretty good from the 2009 rallyx season. if this is reasonably priced, i may go for it.

Would it be possible to bend the sides up to form a 1/2" lip? The reason is I don't want any dripping fluids or A/C condensation getting anywhere near the wheels.
I'm very interested in one depending on price.

Folks here's some updates:

The MOQ for this order is 30pcs, gonna leave 5 pieces here in Hong Kong for local members.

The rest I am gonna send to Culpable04, NJ~

The most quantities would be 25 pieces in this batch~
This batch might only entertain US members, O'Canada or anywhere nearby~

The rough cost for the plates is around usd$170-200/pcs

This includes One Plate and 2 brackets(Pics would be posted once the sample is make) + Shipping cost from supplier to Culp's door, since I need to confirm the cost from supplier to EC, and Culp need to help me to pick up from the nearest port.

Once all the cost finalize, I would post up the exact cost and ready to collect your fund~

Regarding the domestic shipping cost from NJ to your home, I have no clue~
If you live at EC or somewhere nearby, you are lucky~

I am not sure if this price are attractive enough or not, but thats the best quote I could get~

Put your name down again if you really really interested and fund ready:

Since, 6GC have few engines equipped

7AFE, 5SFE, 3SFE, 3SGE, 3SGTE, 4AGE......

I might redesign or simply cut a hole for easy oil change for my 3SGE...

But I don't think that are universal for all type of engine, I mean the hole.

So, I believe we better leave ot and stick with the C-ONE style design.

Im still in, just curious as to if the ease of changing the oil will still be the same?

wondering the same thing. and isnt thi going to be heavier over all then the platic ones? but will be more aero dynamic? just tryin to figure this thing out, i like the look of it.

Anyway, after thorough consideration, stick with aluminium would be the best bet.

The Genuine C-ONE is about 4kg, the one I am gonna make would use same grade material and spec.

I don't have an air tunnel to test the aero dynamic, but I bet C-one did that for long.

there are aerodinamic improvements with this item, but the really significant is the protection it offers to the oil pan, under panel is more known as skid plate, it aids to protect the lower portion of the engine / trans from rocks and foreign objects on the road. off road vehicules have it and is a must for a lowered car, I willl try to take pictures of what a rock did to my exhuast, gladly it was the exhausty and not my oil pan that was 6 inches to the left. this panel will add a lot of piece of mind when driving lowered on the streets.

USD$170-200 to NJ, USA

So, let me get this right; we're supposed to pay for shipping to NJ, USA, and then pay for shipping/customs, etc from there to our doors?

Thats a little bizarre, but I understand the shipping in bulk thing.

Sounds like it could be a great product, but not for what its going to cost to get it to me, I'll pull out of the listing.

1) 2bcelica
2) CHA (everything for front panel and a rear diffuser) ?
3) Haugbjorg
4) ZGear (omg, shipping something this big ) Please have shipping quote ready too.
5) 96Stgreendemon (depending on price) definitely need this
6) abflug (interested if the price is good)

8) Malhar95 (Depending on price)
9) spot available
10) DaCCelica94 count me in since it will be affordable
11) Lazurus (Need a total cost when you get it)

this is taken from C-one website

QUOTE
The C-One aluminum under panel protects the engine from objects passing underneath and provides reduced aerodynamic drag and increased stability at high speeds.

2mm thick aluminium
Reduces aerodynamic drag at high speeds using a flat surface
Increases stability at high speeds reducing front end lift
Protects the underside of the engine

is now discontinued and the retail price was someone close to 350 dollars + shipping to your door.

The actual price and cost would post up once I confirm with the shipping quote from a Freight forwarder ~
The approx size is 1m x 1m, not sure it would exceed the post office dimension or not.
One Panel + 2 Brackets per set
2mm thick Aluminium

Like I mentioned b4, Culpable04 might help me to pick up the hugh pack from nearest port or I will send in bulk to his door steps, then he would help me to send from there at your own cost.

What's the thickness. I guess it's too late but i'd consider buying one if they could make this in .25".

Made by 2mm thick Aluminium Panel(Mill Finished)
Never too late, but quarter inch is damn too thick and heavy~

Guys, regarding the domestic shipping from NJ to your door step, I really dunno~
I could only say the Panel alone is around 4kg
+ 2 Brackets and a 2-3 piles White Cartoon Box
Total weight is around 6kg-7kg

Don't consider too long b4 the panels are gone!
