I can't figure out what's wrong with my drivers door glass.

With the window up, it's pretty tight and everything lines up perfect. But with the window all the way down in the door, the glass is loose. Has about half inch play side to side. You can put your finger on the top edge and rock it. And it sits away from the outside weather seal. When you slam the door with the window down, it rattles.

In my other door, the glass tucks tight under the outside weather seal when it's down. And it's tight at all positions.

All accessible bolts and nuts I tried are tight. Does anyone know what this could be? Does anyone have a good picture of the regulator, glass channels and other stuff inside the door so I can get an idea what to look for? I know nobody ever touched this, so it must be something worn, loose or broken.

Wood appreciate any help.

I have the same problem, although it started after someone busted the glass to break in. I think they pried the window out and it pulled the sheet metal out a bit as well; the window gap is larger than on the other door. Mine rattles while driving unless I put some pressure on the top of the door panel. I have tried tightening everything and adding foam to the backside of the interior panel but have not had success.

There are these rubber hard stoppers I guess to call them, they have a bolt in the middle of them. They seem to be the only means to tighten the line up of the glass vs. track. There should be 2 of them, right were the panel comes off on the top.

If those aren't the problem, there are 3 bolts right where the glass attaches to the rail and cable, if those are lose, i'd be worried.

Those are the travel stops. Blue pucks on the glass hit the stop adjusters at the top and keep the glass from going too far up. They don't do anything when the glass is down. I don't see how they have anything to do with looseness or alignment. Are you talking about something different?
