hey guys well ive been thinking about doing this swap but ive also been thinking if its worth it. if i do decide to do it i will start on Jan. but i have some questions. ive been thinking alot about if this swap would be worth it or just save up for a supra, i like the celi alot though and i would rather have both, also if i do this swap will i be having problems with it all the time? and lets say i end up doing the swap what parts do you guys think i should have ready? this is what im thinking if you guys think i should have other stuff more important please let me know, heres what ive been thinking (belts, IC,spark plugs, hoses, gaskets, turbo timer, boost controll, BOV,) about the turbo timer, boost controll, or BOV should i get those when i upgrade my turbo? well hope you guys can help me decide thanks

It depends how you look at it. If you have the money and could get it done right, sure it's more than worth it. But on the other hand there is always the posibility of running into problems, because its the wrong motor in the car. Also, stick with the celica. Yea Supras are cool too but they are very expesive and the insurance on them is sky high. Besides think of the joy that would come from running a 12.9 sec. 1/4 mile time in a 6th gen turbo celica. Our cars are way under rated. Its time for us to come up and show them hondas what were made of. I have this friend at work with a 93 mazda mx-6. His car has a 2.0, about 120hp stock maybe. I have an ST. Yea I got some stuff on it but he thought his car was bad so I had to show him whats up. We raced down a back street behind the car dealership where I work and I spanked his A*$. It felt good as hell. I can't tell you if its worth it, only you can decide that. It probably wont be easy....or cheap....but when its all said and done you will have one tight celica!!!

Well you can start saving if you really want a supra. I mean, its a Supra which has ALOT more potential but the 3s also has alot of potential too. I'd even pick a 3s Celi over a Supra if it were RWD but its not. A turbo Supra, in good condition stock will run you about 12K up here in the NE. An N/A Supra is a waste of money. For the parts, do a search cuz its been asked alot before. Get a clip, need no parts.
And if you really like ur Celi, and ur thinking is it worth it, HELL YEAH. Shiz is fast. -------------------- |

Honda boys are EXACTLY why I am swapping. Some kid was talking smack about his RICED-OUT ride. It was a 1992-95 CIVIC DX, with some EX updates, the z3 fenders didnt fit right, the front bumper was not properly fitted and sagged, the car has 4 different colors of body panels, and his b16 swap looks like he used duct tape to mount the motor. He said OH YOUR CELICA AINT NOTHING. I wanted to deck him. Instead, I'll just keep my mouth shut and when he talks smack next time I'll just rev it and let him hear some spooling action and see how bad he thinks his b-16 swap is then. I'll say go ahead and turbocharge ur B16, I'll just add some boost control

Not only that, If you plan on doing street racing, no one will bet money against a Supra TT. They will NEVER imagine a celica with a lil funk under the hood and just remember that semi-highly modded Honda's can barely keep up with the power of the stock 3s-gte. Imagine what mods will do for that... quivers....

I hear ya! My friend in my car club has A $600 dollar DC Sports exshaust and a AEM intake on his 02 civic EX. I have Custom intake witch costed roughly $40 to make and a custom 2 1/4 inch exshaust that was $114 to get welded on and my car is outragously faster. Of course while I play 2 fast 2 furious he can watch it on his flip screen T.V. |

hey guys thank for that info i think ima stick with the celi, i already kno about the whole front clip and everything for the 3s-gte i just wanted to kno what upgrades you guys recomend i should have ready. some people tell me to change the belts for sure and the pipes and gaskets, then they also tell me to have a better exhaust system ready and IC. anything you guys recomend? but all that about the celi is true, but i also like supra i guess i just wait to own one later on so i can have both, that would be tight. i have a SPOILED friend who got a 97 supra TT, the homie cant even drive it, kinda made me sad when i heard he got spaked by a civic hatchback. my bro told me he got beat by atleast 3 car lengths. well thanks again guys
