Just a stab in the dark (not sarcasm), can't you just stick HID bulbs in the fogs you already have? If you have any..

Mine neither
Just got some facelift fogs and all the wiring and get some HID bulbs for them. That's what you'll have to do. When I have some extra money I'll be putting in some fogs as well -------------------- taking too long to mod since '09

Just for clarity's sake and to avoid any possible confusion, the car in that picture is a Lexus IS 300/Toyota Altezza, which came equipped from the factory with projector fog lights (refer to this, this, and this.) that have been painted yellow, so any light you put in them will come out yellow. Those are true fog lights, as opposed to something like what came on the 6gc. While helpful, they aren't 'true' fog lights.
If it's the yellow look you want, you can simply buy a yellow bulb and put it in your fog lights. As far as putting HID's in your 6gc's fog lights (after you buy and install the fogs,) it's been done several times over. I believe the '96+ models even have the wires for the fog lights already installed. The lights on that IS 300 are going to be yellow, regardless of regular bulbs or HID's. They'll just be slightly more bluish with HID's. To put HID's in your OEM fogs would take very little work. To answer your question, if you want yellow lights, you can go to any automotive store and buy light bulbs that have been painted yellow. If you want true HID's in your fog lights, contact the member griffgirl on this forum. She sells high quality HID's at a good price. They are plug and play. For that yellow look get 3k HIDs with the ballast. If you want it more golden, you can buy the foglight lens film as well. Also...

After rubbing his nuts on it.... Anyway, since he wasn't at my memorial day bbq, Jas came up from ATL and did it for him Unfortunately, Its the only daytime pic that I have of my lights. -------------------- ~bloodMoney

what kind of paint do you use? my buddie used glass paint. So Ritchee are you sayin the IS300's fogs are so bright because of the projecters?
like this here? CLICKY and it seams like if you flip them over they will fit in the facelift bumper This post has been edited by stl95celica: Oct 31, 2010 - 2:31 PM -------------------- -frank

Yes and no. I said they are yellow because of the projector. The projector itself was painted yellow, so a clear bulb inside the projector will emit yellow light. The reason that they fogs in an IS 300 are so bright is because they use the same 55w 9006 bulb that a Celica's low beam use. But one could easily put HID's in place of the old fashion halogen type bulbs in their fog lights and get a much brighter light.
