Okay so i need some real advice!!

I already have an Intake, headers, and a borla muffler (getting pipe made soon) And ive come to the conclusion that there's not much i can do powerwise to my GT unless a turbo (which i dont have money for) so I stopped focusing on that.

Now i cant decide what to do...
here are my options:
save up for a turbo or swap
Paint the car for now
work on suspension
install bodykit then wait
get new stuff for my interior (gauge plates, seat covers, fix convertible top)


the problem is that i never get what i NEED, i always geting what i WANT, so i need ur advice.

Obviously Money is the issue...more expensive it is, the more time its gonna take me to get it done
for exampe, $100 dollars = 1-2 weeks

so if i get the car painted 1st, i have to wait around a month.

so i need ur advice what to do??

In my opinion, you should focus on the suspension first, but that wasn't an option on the poll.

whats up man, since money is the issue (and it seems you already have the body kit)

1. install bodykit
2. kill 2 birds with one stone. paint car AND bodykit (you dont want to pay to paint car then pay to paint the kit parts and have to worry about paint being exactly the same on top of the $ issue)
3. fix up car (vert interior pieces etc)
4.suspension
5.save for swap

thats what i did (sorta) for my first swap. give yourself time to learn your car and enjoy it! then saving for a swap will make it all the sweeter! im sure most of the guys here will agree with #1 and #2.

fix your suspension and do the swap at the same time,cause if you swap, different weigth of the engine --> maybe stiffness of the spring will have to be changed for a correct ride.
if going turbo, suspension job first (for a couple of kilos, no problems)

PS: did you consider the brakes on the suspension part ?cause ive not seen them anywhere and its pretty much suicide to keep the oem ones if swaping for something more mean or even turboing

i swapped, but my suspension was ok. Now that i have the engine i want, ill make it look faster.

suspension first definately!

you cant enjoy a fast engine, when you're body rolling like a sail boat!
first is suspension, then engine and last is looks!

you heard the expression all show, no go!? do you really want to be 'that' kid!!

That's why you get fully adjustable coilovers.

Header not headers. And speed over looks, I could care less about what my car looks like. I choose numbers over looks. Start from the ground up like, do suspension first, after that do brakes, then go for swap, then go for exterior. What's the point in having power without the ability to use it correctly.

i totally agree, if you have the cash, go for the speed and power first. but our friend here is strapped for right now & already has the kit

So i was doing a little thinking, and decided to fix the suspension 1st and THEN install the kit so when there are bumps, i dont break it due to my effed up struts...

so now the question is...what shud i get??

KYBs with Eibachi springs? or TRD springs...
and since i need new rotors...should i just get the factory spec from autozone or the slotted rotors from ebay??

Slotted rotors are nice looking and all, but if you're not gonna be taking the car on the track, just get factory spec. The slots are meant for ventilation to keep the rotors from excessive heat during a race. There's no racing on the streets. And if you think about it, the stopping distance on a slotted rotor is extended because there's less surface area for the pistons to clamp down on.

As for suspension, I've seen a lot of people on the site that are happy with KYB GR2s and Eibach Sportlines. Personally I'm going with fully adjustable coilovers because I like to fidget with things and I know I'll want to change the settings later on.

My personal opinion is to get a good suspension/ braking set up going, if you are going to eventually turbo/swap the car you need a good platform to do so on. Don't mess around with getting springs and struts, go with a full coilover set up, you have more options and if you want it lower you can take it lower, not lower it and want to go lower but you cant with springs, plus good coilovers have adjustable dampening and camber plates built into them. I personally have D2 coilovers installed and am looking to get swaybars soon.
