Hey everyone. Most people on here might not know me, but im a kinda OG member. I no longer have my 6gc, but I'm gonna be investing in a RHD GT4 in the next year or so. Anyways, back on point.

I'm getting into policing as a career and I'm starting a collection of police memorabilia. Im collecting pins, badges, cap badges, patches, hats(not baseball), etc. from police services from around the world.

Heres where i could use some help. If any one is related to or knows some one who is in policing or law enforcement in general and has some old memorabilia laying around and wants to donate it to a collection, let me know.

I started my collection about 2 months ago, so far I have 3 different Toronto Police patches (2 older obsolete ones and a modern one), York Regional, Peel Regional, RCMP, OPP, German Polizie, Finnish National Police, Devon and Cornwall Constabulary (from the UK) patches, Tampereen Poliisi (from Tampere Finland pin), Devon and Cornwall Constabulary badges (modern and one from the 70s).

Anyways, if any one wants to donate, let me know.

And admins (manny/jen, luke), if this post isnt cool, lemme know on FB and feel free to delete it.

THANKS!

My mom just gave me 6 large storage containers full of antique stuff to go through that consists of various items from my family going all the way back into the late 1800s, I know there are pins, patches, and some other things but I'm not sure if it is definitely police stuff. If it is, I will let you know. My job with it is to research it all and sell it, but if they have little or no value I'd be happy to send it your way. I do know there are things from World War 1, the Navy, Military, or Army, and possible other similar items so there may be police items as well. Let me get back to ya lol!

Figure I would give a small update to my collection so far.

Pin from Tampere Finland

German National Police

City of London Police - Smallest geographical police service in the world

Calgary Police Service - Hopefully my future employer

Iceland National Police.

Got about another 13 or 14 patches in the mail + a few badges.

ok, after looking through every single item so far, the only thing that I found that is even remotely related would be a couple pins and a badge. The pins are both Naval pins, one says "STANAVFORLANT" and stands for "Standing Naval Force, Atlantic". The other is a Navy Anchor 3 pronged pin, both are from the late '60s or early '70s, when my late Uncle (who died before I was born) was on the USS Richard E. Byrd. The uniform badge I have is from the Canadian Military, Logistics Branch and it says Servitium Nulli Secundus on it.

I know they are not Police or Law Enforcement, but those are the things I was able to find. I listed them on eBay since I am trying to sell each item for whatever I can to help my mom out. If you would be interested in those, I can PM you the auctions, let me know.
