Car should go into gear only when you depress the clutch while it is on/running. Sounds like your clutch is out. Hopes that helps.

dont think its the clutch bro. i just changed it out recently but im pretty sure its either has to do with the axle or the cv joint . i can see it underneath the car i just wasnt too sure so i was looking to get some input

how can you get the car in gear without putting the clutch in? maybe you forgot to hook up the shift linkage.

either you shift cables are not connected or your clutch is permanently engaged...it should not go into gear without the pedal pushed

Could have been installed wrong, faulty clutch, there could be many reasons.

The pivot point on your clutch fork could have broke, regardless I doubt it's an axle. Could be but I doubt it, the car does have an open diff so if the axles broke you wont move but there would probably be some resistance going into gear without the clutch.

You can check, jack the car up. Have someone put it in first gear, if the broke axles is spinning right by the transmission its just the axles and not the clutch.
