Door install? Options

Just curious: How difficult is it to install the drivers' side door? I've decided to keep the Celi for another year and my drivers door is rusted and the window internals rattle around so I'm thinking this might make a good summer project. Any thoughts?

Also, does anyone know where I could find steps to do so if it's not too hard?

I have 0 experience working on cars but am always on the forum reading stuff and would like to do a few things if I can.

Very easy. I have made door swap my self on my car. really no special skills or tools needed.

It's pretty simple, you just take out the driver side front fender, driver side door panel. Take out 4 bolts that holding driver side door to the car and you should be all set. You will need someone to hold the door to take out the door and to install it. If you do everything right. You shuold be able to do it 15-20 min no issues.

Thanks for the response. That sounds simple enough. Will the door be flush without much hassle? And what about the wiring for the power window? That's the part I'm really worried about...

The wires feed throug hthe door (by a plug I'm believe or atleast they did on another car I've replaced doors on) And it should sit flush as long and your hinges and everything were fine before.

my only advice is to get a buddy to help you hold up the door while you bolt it in.....makes heaps easier. Also make sure it is aligned properly before you slam it or you may catch something or it will stick closed

My other concern is that my passenger's side door isn't flush with the body. The car was in a fender bender before, so could this be permanent, or do they sometimes just warp over time?

most likely due to a fender bender from before. You can sometimes adjust the striker and hinges a bit but chances are it is already at its limits
