Tanabe Sustec Pro w/Helper springs............wouldnt be my choice of coils but hey they will do you good

Tanabe Sustec Pro w/Helper springs............wouldnt be my choice of coils but hey they will do you good E ʻōlelo mālie If you were to do it all over again, my 'lowered'; what would you do differently, if anything? Please tell me your opinion's of the helper springs... when I threw the kits together they seemed really flimsy... I dunno. But from what I've read the Type I's were better than the Type II's?? key kaos i have the same coilovers. i have read that the type 1's are better, which makes sence because they are more expensive. some people actually have converted their type 2's to type 1's by adding in the helper spring. the disadvantage to it is the lowest you can go is 2.5" front and 2.0" rear, not low enough for 808. and you probably are not going to lower as much as it can go, leave at least 5 threads. this is a quality coilover tho, and the only one for 6gc that is completely made in japan, tein actaully outsources some of their parts. everything fits perfectly, on other coilovers the brake line bracket needs adjusting, but not for these. the solid top mounts are quiet unlike pillowball such as cusco. the spring rates are good, not too stiff, not too soft. comfort isn't bad as long as the road is somewhat smooth, but obviously stiffer than a spring/strut combo.

Yeah, i dunno about the whole idea of the helper springs, but then again the goals I want out of a coil system is different Its just the body cant be adjusted and the range of height is so so. The springs rates are what? 8/6 something like that, so that part of it is fine Im kinda 50/50 with Tanabe and Yes the Type I supposively better that Type II's.
