No. But my Miata in NSFU has a direct port nitrous injection from Nitrous Express.

I just read an article about this recently....i think this is how it works-
Dry Nitrous- Uses jets in intake tubing to create nitrous fog, and uses the stock fuel map and engages automaticly when a certain fuel pressure is attained. Thought to be the safest and easiest method of nitrous injection. Wet Nitrous- Involves jets used in the same way, but utilizes a fuel solenoid to deliver the excess fuel needed for engagement. Direct Port Nitrous- Nitrous is injected through the fuel rail or individually for each cylinder via the intake manifold (not sure which is truly considered direct port though....i think its when its used through the fuel rail) And hey, if direct port is good enough for Paul Walker in the F&F its good enough for me.... Just kidding about that...i personally want a dry setup eventually, so that i can select when i want alot of power at the drag strip on friday nights but then have decent gas mileage when i want it too. -------------------- 3rd gen ST205 3SGTE - Alive and boosting. |

dry shot is a nozzel hooked up in the intake plumbing and it just sprays the jet size u installed.. effective but not the safest.
wet, is the same except the nozzel has 2 lines plumbed into it. one is nitrous, the 2nd is fuel. helps from getting a lean condition. direct port. nitrous and fuel are equally **** into each intake runner. via the new injectors, or drilling and tapping the nozzels into each intake runner..this is best to keep one cyliner from going lean(nitrous and gas are equally sprayed into each cylinder.). |
