I have mine recirculated. All you hear is a faint swoosh.
One thing you can try is removing the triangle thing in the center of the bov. It changes the sound of the hks by removing the chrip, so all you hear is a pssss type of sound. -------------------- 15PSI - 30MPG - Megasquirt Tuned

I have the triangle peice taken out of my ssqv, cam.
Recirculating it really quiets it down. -------------------- Former Team 5SFTE pro member ;)

Recirculating it really quiets it down. alright, well we will play around with the bov once i bring the car over. it came with some sort of a pitch maker already inside of it.. ive never played around with a turbo setup so its a lil new to me. ive just been going by what i hear on youtube. no matter what i do its gunna sound good bc the bov i picked sounds nice on the clips. -------------------- st205 powered ss3 coupe

The sound you get from your BOV differs greatly with different configurations like engine, turbo, boost level, piping, attachments, etc
But in any case a good setup always sounds great. like for example, the standard insert in HKS SSQV sounds awesome in WRX, Evo, etc but I had a laggy turbo and it sounded crap in my car unless high in revs. I haven't had it vent to atmo on my new GT28RS setup, but I bet it would sound great. Plumb back is quieter, but theres enough sound to be heard by other motorists anyways -------------------- Mike W
