I'm planning my 3sgte swap into my 95 ST, and I dont understand why I want the GT4 clip if I want to use the E153 LSD. I know there are alot of other little parts I'd need to source if I get the MR2 clip. Is it a better idea to get the GT4 clip and find an E153 LSD on it's own? I see I'm supposed to, I just don't understand why. (Don't I also need the axles off the MR2 if I use the E153?)

one of the biggest problems is the wire harness is diff very diff IIRC not impossible to overcome

also, if you plan to go for the whole gt4 look, your better off getting the gt4 clip as you can score a good one with all the parts

Yeah I've been doing some random thread reads on any 3sgte swap I can find, and I happened upon someone mentioning that the celica 3SGTE ECU got better programming, and they can setup more power. After mounts, body, and the fact that I have to do an auto to manual swap, the 205 clip is definitely the way to go (thats the 3rd gen engine, right?)

Anyway, I can find the E153 LSD for about 1k (including shipping), but I can't find a source for the axles. Do I just have to go through Toyota directly? Or maybe hunt some junk yards? If I remember right, I'll need the ST205 outters, and the MR2 inners?

For axle stubs use a jnkyard or the mr2 forums
If ur using the lsd make sure u get the driver side lsd stub
The outers are from the st185
The st205 are 1 piece and do not work
