Ok, so I was on my way back from an indoor soccer game, and my buddy pulls up next to me at a stoplight in his '93 Town & Country obviously wanting to race. So at the green light I hit it and my poor '98 GT Auto convertible had trouble keeping even with him. Once we hit about 40 MPH I started to edge ahead and we had to stop at about 55 because the road turned into one lane but oh man was that sad...

Oh well, I guess I can chalk that up as my first win... I beat a minivan! biggrin.gif

Anything I should know about getting maximum acceleration out of an automatic off the line?

you could try putting your car in D1, then shifting it to D2, then to D. But i hear it can mess up your tranny.

Some minivan's are no joke.

I'm still awaiting the day someone races a RAM Hemi and says "I stayed with it.".

they are about the same as a 2000 civic si.
