hey everyone,
so I'm not sure if this is just a loud sound because of my air intake or if it really is turbo flutter. The Link this is staying around 0 to -5 PSI and will make the sound up to just under 5 psi. after 5 psi the BoV fully opens and evacuates quickly. this was my old turbo before the turbine shaft snapped on the exhaust side. but the thing is, its doing the same damned thing on the turbo I have on it now. and its been doing it since I installed the turbo. Thanks, Kevin |

the hks will flutter like that with small throttle inputs.
you could tune it out of the older style that have the adjustment screw in the back by tightening the spring. -------------------- Former Team 5SFTE pro member ;)

My hks bov makes a similar sound too under small loads, it's normal. I actually like the sound of it.

Cool thanks guys. Ill double check the Vac lines, but I'm pretty sure they are fine.
I'll take a video with how its set up now('new' Turbo+HKS). you might hear a difference. this again was with the stock BoV which I think was worn out by then. Kevin |

Sounds like compressor surge to me...your BOV shouldn't flutter like that after every shift. I had a similar issue when installing the new HKS SSQV so I took it off and kept the my original BOV on. I get some flutter every now and then when cruising at freeway speeds and slightly letting off the throttle but never in between shifts.
