Smaay,
I don't know what has been your problem lately. everywhere its "I gotta prove this guy wrong" or " I assume you don't know what you are talking about." That is NOT a 5S-FE that is a 5S-FTE. which his question does not state, nor does he state that he wants to know what ecu he should be using if he wanted to turbo his 5S-FE. if you want to ask a question do it clearly. People will jump to conclusions not knowing what you are talking about otherwise. |

my butt hurts. there is no such thing as a 5S-FTE. that is a code that we all like to make up when we turbo a 5S. we really should be calling it a 5S-FE Turbo but that's just apples and oranges. i have no beef with you. i just have a different opinion than you do sometimes

I have a 5sfe 1996 2.2l and I was wondering what ECU would be best for my Celica. 1. ^ Fixed that for you. now 2: The 2.2 5S-FE is not Forced Inducted so wrong section. 3: with no mods, the Stock ECU is fine. sorry man. ill make it clear bro. i have a 5sfe and im doing a turbo project on it. the turbo is in and working like a champ. my problom is, i have a auto tranny and its sliping alot. i know that the tranny works just fine becuse it shifts in low rpms. i fugered it would be the ECU that still set on stock. would you have any idea what ECU would be best for my project? |

well, if the Tranny is slipping, then that sounds like a transmission problem not an ECU problem. Also having an auto really limits you. there are several piggy backs out there to help with fueling and timing but they really dont help much with the trans. if you want a full stand alone, then a universal AEM EMS would work good for you but you need a GOOD tuner to program it

Like he just said, it has nothing to do with the ecu. The automatic trans simply can not handle the power of a turbo motor. You need to swap to a manual to fix the problem.
