Usually with lowering springs you don't need to compress them depending on my drop. With my stechs I barely needed to compress them and these are the smallest drop springs you can get so it makes sense that you didn't have to compress them due to shorter springs.

Just a warning though, if you are lowerin on stock struts, they'll blow shortly. Not sure how low the Megan springs are but my struts only lasted a couple months. So be prepared to have to replace them at some point in time if you're not planning to do them now

Alright thanks man, im thinking about upgrading to coilovers soon instead of spending half of that money on the new struts the box says itll give me a 2" drop but people say it gives a 1.6

some lowering springs are short so they either don't need compression or barely. i dont really like it cus then sometimes you have to align it onto the upper and lower grooves so that it sits correctly. but when you lower the car, thats when it will compress. Even with Intrax Lowering springs 1.8" drop still needed to be compressed.

I installed my megans without needing to compress them thumbsup.gif
Just made sure to keep springs in the aligning grooves.

Sounds like cheap springs and bad ride quality to me.

That sometimes depends from your struts. I when I replace my front struts I found out that
the monroe gas shocks I currently have where about 2 inch longer so the spring wont need
much compress, I have tein springs and I compressed them but not as much as the OME.
But still when you lower the car on the ground it sits well, actually it's like they give you more travel
which is useless Because to use that extra travel you must convert it in to a monster truck.
