I went ahead and picked up some ST Suspensions sway bars. I got the front in OK, but am having a much more difficult time with the rear.
The How-To on here mentions to just drop the gas tank and remove or drop the exhaust (I opted for drop). With just this though, I can't for the life of me get the sway bar out. There isn't enough clearance wheel-side to get it into a position to remove... So, the how-to included with the 'bar says to remove the large 8-inch stud holding the trailing arms to the wheel hub. I can see where if I do that, I should be able to squeeze the old bar out. Trouble is, I've been at that stud/bolt for a long time. After a while I got the nut off, but still can't get the bolt itself to budge. I've gone between an impact gun, torch, air hammer, all for several hours to no avail. Maybe I'm just missing something? -------------------- 2019 M2, 2005 S2000, 1997 4Runne

not sure if i am on the right mindset here, but in suspension sometimes you have to use a jack to align suspension parts so that they could come out. for example using a jack on the knuckle to remove strut bolts. i might be wrong but thats what i normally come across with, unless you have pics.

Bit of an update:
I wound up just cutting the exhaust bolts. I was able to get the old sway bar out. The new one though, still no luck. I can't get it to quite fit in. Has anyone managed to get the ST sway bar in without removing that trailing arm? trd, I've tried it through a pretty full range to no avail. I threw some PB Blaster on it to let it sit overnight, then I'll go from there. (Break time for the night). -------------------- 2019 M2, 2005 S2000, 1997 4Runne

I have been having the same problem. Except the fact that my bolt snapped. The only way I was able to get that sway bar in was after the arm was out of the way.

I managed to squeeze it in after dropping the hub from the coilover. What a pain.
On the upshot, the car feels fantastic. On the downside, I'm going to have to source replacements to all the parts I'll need to cut for when I do my bushings. -------------------- 2019 M2, 2005 S2000, 1997 4Runne
