I would say WRX, but they're a PITA to work on.

A-pillar angle on the Civic is killer, plus the dash looks dumb in them.

I suppose that means I default to a RSX.

Ive been leaning more towards the wrx or the rsx
The wrx cuz of the fact its awd an 4 door
The rsx cuz still fairly Sporty an its a honda

Dislikes
Wrx - dd an turbo just doesnt seen smart after higher mileage
Rsx -kinda looks like a 7gc an its a honda

I like the look of the civic but the windshield looks like it would get on my nerves an at the end of the day.... you probably really wanted a rsx but the civic was more in your price range

in that sense too, yeah. something new and reliable that you dont have to worry about.
But I meant it in the way of getting a new car and seeing that there is a crazy awesome aftermarket for it and there are parts a plenty.

When I got my fit, I had an itchy add to cart finger with buying parts for it.
Luckily, I quelled that urge

Id go for the wrx since its awd and turbo. The other two choices are too similar to the Celica and you wouldn't really be gaining all that much by buying them. At least the wrx would be a totally different type of car than what you have now.

Here are some good sites for finding info on cars:
http://www.carsdirect.com/
http://www.edmunds.com/
http://home.autos.msn.com/

Then if you just want mpg info:
http://www.fueleconomy.gov/

I would definitely say go RWD or AWD if you want a remotely fast DD. I'd only go FWD if you want good mpg for your DD. Any performance FWD will most likely be slower than your V6 Celica, and not have any better mpg.

Im not looking for faster lol
Maybe faster than the coupe haha
Thats why im looking into the 3 that i am
All 3 are fairly peppy cars with desent mpg
I know hondas are reliable an alot of people seem to love the wrx an its as close to a gt4 as ill probably ever get lol (excluding alltracs)

WRX gets 18/24 on premium, that's the original window sticker too. RSX and Si aren't too bad on gas. If it were me I'd say the RSX over the Si, little bit nicer of a car. Not much in the way of RWD that doesn't get similar mpg to the WRX. Though a 2004 GTO with the manual originally got 17/29 on premium, and has a big enough rear for adults.

Ah yes, other people have Winter. I forget that at times. tongue.gif If you're up for feeding the WRX go for it. Some AWD Audi cars out there that get decent mpg, but when anything breaks you'll pay for it. Also rechecked and the WRX does get 20/27, was looking at the STI earlier.

Get a Vette then, same mpg and 500 pounds lighter. thumbsup.gif

Only thing is the WRX only has 27 more hp than the RSX, but weighs 300 pounds more. You do have nice AWD though. Another option would be a Lancer Evo. I've had bad experiences with Mitsubishi, but the Lancers are rated fairly well.

Best thing would be to test drive them all if possible, then determine exactly what you're wanting in regards to mpg, drive-train, and size.

Yep we tend to get alot of snow at times an rwd sucks in winter
I thought those numbers seemed alittle low for the wrx an just like any other car you can get better than that if you drive it right
My plan is to test drive all 3 an probably have my friend that owns a used car lot find what i want.
But im still alittle ways off from that lol

Yep, figure it all out eventually. ORRR spend the money you would on a new car on the Nova instead. Just a thought. tongue.gif

I have an RSX and am looking at my AWD options. But I will say, for FWD sport compacts, these little cars are great.

-Much like the Celica, interior is still one of the nicest (even for a 10 year old car)
-You have the very popular K20 that all the Civic kids are swapping into their car
-Aftermarket and OEM replacement parts are pretty easy to find
-I am a believer in hatchbacks after owning this car lol (so much cargo room for a 2 door)
-Gas mileage is around 22-24 city (very little lead foot)
-I've driven in the snow and these cars handle their own pretty well.

The only thing I would be cautious of is a lot of times these cars are previously owned by kids that beat the crap out of them, so you need to look into the history (carfax, ect..). They are very reliable, but I have heard a few stories of people having quite a few problems people didn't find out about until after purchasing the car.(thats why I bout my car completely stock)

Depending on the Civic Si you are looking at, the Ep3 is very comparable to the RSX. But the FA5 (06-10) have drive-by-wire and a few other options that make them a little more of a joy for car enthusiasts.
