I was driving my car when all of a sudden a light flashes up of an engine, soon after my engine stats spluttering and finally she stalls. What does this light mean? Is it serious? help needed.

check ur oil maybe.....cuz that happened to me before (the sudden icon) but it never stalled. and i realized i had no oil when i lifted the dipstick.

It cant be that cause I have just changed the oil.. someone out there must have had the same problem or can help me.

is it your check engine light or your service engine soon? there is no easy way to answer the question. it could be anything from a o2 sensor to a crank sensor. a general rule is that if the light is red you need to pull over and get it checked and if the light is yellow then you should take it to be serviced soon. if it was low in oil, you probably wouldnt notice anything untill the motor locked itself up.

the light was yellow. it cant be anything to do with the service as I have only just service it. I guess I will take it to a mechanic and see what he says. cheers guys

don't count anything out cause a lot of time problems happen when a mechanic messes something up...
