Hey guys, I lost my alarm remote a while back and ordered a new one on eBay that supposed to work with it. It says I need to press some button on the ECU to program the remote. Any help as to where I can find the ECU?? I have a 99 GT. any help would be highly appreciated thank you.

Nope. You dont need the ecu..

Look under your driver seat for a black box. That box is the controller for alarm system.
If I remember right there is a little green button that you press and hold for like 5 seconds.

While doing so look at your dash, under the steering wheel, where the security sound sensor is, there should be a flashing red LED. before it flashes either 3 or 5 times you need to press and hold the lock button on your new remote.

If its successful I believe the car locks then unlocks.

Hope that helps and hope it works.. been awhile since I did mine.
