i know i sound lazy but i really cant do it myself.

1. i have no garage/space 2. i dont have the experience and knowledge.

i really do wish i had the space to get in there and do it myself, i love learning and
messing around with my car, but unfortunately thats not happenning. i live in a town
where i can barely even find a parking spot...

If theres anyone near me with the knowledge and space to help me with this swap or know of a trusted shop, it would save me
from getting rid of my celica. . . and i really dont want to =(

im up for any swap, not trying to spend a crazy amount,
budget line is around 2500. BUT im not returning to a 7a.
worst experienced celica motor ever for me...

appreciate any help. =]

ask pressure2, I know he's done a few swaps, but I'm not sure if he will still do them or not.
Worth it to ask though

2500 will not get you much of a swap, especially if you plan on paying someone for labor.

Save up another 5, and you may be able to wing it with labor.

A basic gen 2 swap is around $1200. Always prepare for the worse though.

if i had everything ahead of time, it will only take a few days, i could do it over a weekend. what takes a long time is sourcing parts that I might need. things like the wiring harness takes time. since you have an ST with a 7A, you will need a transmission. I happen to still have my old GT 5 speed and the axles which will do the job just fine for you.

Smaay, would you fly to CrosCudi for the right price? lol Plane ticket, hotel for a weekend and misc. expenses should be less than the price of shipping a person and a car. tongue.gif Think of it as a vacation! laugh.gif

He would fly with the tools, engine hoist, and portable garage, if you have hook up with the airforce cargo planes he might do it

Then again, he does one then he'll be asked to do many.

True that. I live in cen Cali and has been looking at getting a 1mz swap when my 5sfe gives out. Lol. Only bad thing is after the swap. A BAR inspection/certification will be needed....lol. Wouldn't mind smaay doing a 1mz swap for me at all.

Swap wouldn't cost much if you could find a mechanically sound donor car, and did it all yourself. What Smaay offered to do it for is very reasonable, shame so far away from each other. The other option is pick up another car. Not sure how things are where you are, but $2,500 buys a lot of car where I live. With $5,000 getting something actually very nice. Just something to consider. Could get another car, then fix the Celica how you want at a later date. Lots of options.
