Recently put TRD spoiler
disadvantages: 1-mount. studs instead of bolts. 2 M8 threaded studs and the holes in the lid 5-6. 3-one opening coincided, the second not. I had to make one more hole. 4 on the back of the lid have to cut a piece of metal to tighten two screws. 5-side panel to fit snugly inside. If the gap. I need a picture, who is established 1 - 2 - 3 - 4 photos as done 5 is firmly prilegaet.Foto Done in a hurry, because cover should be changed. When looking to buy a new one. I want to do this carefully, because changing that restayl (a lot of extra holes), but not heated. |

I think he's trying to install the TRD wing and is having difficulty. He's asking for pictures and a how-to. I think he specifically needs pictures of #4 and #5.
Edit: I see the issue. You had a Euro two post wing, which mounts slightly differently from the TRD wing. Only the rear holes line up, so you had to drill the front holes. As for the rest of the issues, does the base of the TRD wing not sit flat against your trunk lid? It might be that you have a TRD wing for a coupe or Curren instead of a liftback wing. ^Did they ever make a TRD wing for liftbacks? I think it was c-one that made one for the liftback that looks similar to the TRD spoiler. Not sure.

As a matter of fact, two of our fearless moderators (presure2 and Rusty) have the TRD liftback wing. I want one but the wifey (and legal owner of my Celica) says no. -------------------- "Employ your time in improving yourself by other men's writings, so that you shall gain easily what others labored hard for." -Socrates. As a matter of fact, two of our fearless moderators (presure2 and Rusty) have the TRD liftback wing. My rear wing (side) is not adjacent to a body together Arrow said where. I think that is not correct to make the hole. 2 rear holes are the same, but the pins are thick. I just increased the diameter of the hole. 2 front-holes do not match. Made 2 new holes. put the wing From inside the trunk had to be very hard TRD rear wing not bolt on thanks richee3 http://www.6gc.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=49898 has a bit of info that might be useful for lining up the new holes before i have the SS3 rear wing(holes) after 1st install |

That's nice to know. If I want a tall spoiler I'll go for the trd wing then. Lol. Never was a fan of the huge gt4 riser blocks or the dcw ones. The euro one, I can bare it. Lol.

Wanted to ask if I have the two post spoiler is the trd spoiler direct fit or do I need to drill extra? Was the original problem going from 3 post?

If you have the 2 post, it should fit, no holes needed.
I think in this post, the problem was they had the euro 2 post spoiler which is shorter in length than the JDM/OEM 2 post so only one hole matched. the 3 post would be the same issue, only one hole matched and have to drill the second. I believe you have a regular 2 post and not the euro 2 post so you should be fine. -------------------- *1997 Celica ST - 3SGE Greytop BEAMS *1977 Celica RA29 - Classic Cruiser *2005 Matrix AWD - dedded but still hanging around like a ghost 2019 Rav4 XLE Premium - Sports mode is fun. |

no, it's the same process as converting from 3-post to 2-post. 2 out of 4 holes will match up. and then you just have to drill 2 more and cover up the other ones. It's not all that hard. there's a few posts about it on here.

the true all universal standard for all the hatch wings, is the longer base 2 post. the shorter 2 post and 3 post will still create work (drill or cover up). the standard 2 post, which is the longer base, alllows for the riser blocks, and trd spoiler, and many aftermarket.
