Boot and motors still for sale. Please PM me with any questions, I sold the car so I don't get on the forum very often.
Shipping for the boot is about $30-35 to the lower 48, it needs to be folded in half to fit in a reasonable size box. This post has been edited by dgbldr: Mar 8, 2014 - 1:52 PM |

To answer multiple questions I received about the motors:
1. These are the improved motors and they do NOT have the Celica connectors, you need to splice the connectors/pigtail from your old motors. 2. Yes they fit your 6g. 3. No I don't offer any moneyback guarantee. You are welcome to come in person and test them, or have a friend or forum member local to me do that for you. I am in metro Detroit. Once I ship them, they're yours. Make sure you fix what's wrong with your top before putting in new motors. Otherwise you'll break the new motors, mine or anybody else's. |

Thanks for the tips dg. One thing to note - the failed motor I pulled form my car still appeared functional outside the car. It would run fine when removed but under load the gear would slip. I disassembled it and found that the pins used to hold the gear in place had sheared off (common issue). I believe the newest version of the motor 409A590 may have used a D-shaft instead of the prone to fail pin. I don't know if the 409A588 used a pin or d-shaft without seeing the motor without the attached gearbox.
