I'm looking to improve my headunit. I want something with bluetooth, and ability to make calls. I'm not well versed in this area so I'm looking for some help. My Head Deck cost me $200 it has Bluetooth (Music and Phone), Radio and all that... The call quality is pretty good (sometimes people say its hard to hear me but that's mainly because of my exhaust lol), and you can hear people very easily... It also has auto answering if someone calls, and automatically pauses your music, answers the call then resumes music at the end. I've personally used it with both Android and Apple and it worked fine both times. It's a Sony DSX-A50BT. The only downsides I could find are: - No CD player (although not a problem for me, some people only like CD audio) - Only has a Blue/White back-light (The upper model, which costs more, has RGB LED back-lighting) - There is an annoying sound that plays when the ignition turns off (I figured out how to disable this sound so If you do end up buying this headunit give me a PM and Ill teach you how to turn the warning sound off) Apart from that this unit is really good Not sure what the price is like atm for it; but I got it on special.... -------------------- ------------------------------| White '94 Celica | Bought 11/05/12 | Sold 12/05/15 |------------------------------ |

What do you want. Single DIN, Double DIN? Standard interface, or touchscreen? Sony, Pioneer, Alpine, Kenwood, Clarion, etc... are all good brands.

I'm very happy with my alpine CDE-133BT. Cheap model but really nice sound! I have to admit i have extra speakers. I have a pair of tweeters in my mirror caps, 2 Groundzero woofers in the front and 2 pioneer speakers in the rear and 2 on the deck. I don't have an amp and it sounds wonderfull. Too bad the Celica is vibrating a lot, this was a lot better with my Alfa 147, that had no vibrations at all.

I'm pretty fond of my Pioneer AVH-P3400. It's double DIN, touchscreen, DVD player, Navi (requires external box or something), HD radio, Bluetooth, all that good stuff. New, they cost way too much. But you can easily find them used for under $250, then the mic for Bluetooth calls costs another $30. For the small sacrifice of minor features (HD radio, etc.) you can go with the 1400 or 2400 and save some money.

Yeah, I like double DIN myself as well. Eh, any of the aforementioned brands would be good. If you're picky like me there was a head-unit Pioneer made back in the early 00's and it cost a twinge over $1,000 new, can get it for around $200 or so these days. Crammed full of anything an audiophile would ever want, and was still made in Japan. Think it had like an 11 band EQ or so, can get really dialed in with it.
