so today my brother drove the car back and i noticed that the car is making really loud scratching/grinding/scraping type noise. kinda like u get when u try to shift gears without pressing the clutch.

it only happens when u press the clutch pedal. when i let go of the clutch, it goes away. didnt drive too much after that, just around the neighbourhood, drives normal so far.i did put it in 3rd and floored it to see if it slips but didnt.

the thing thats confusing me is that it happens only with the pedal is pressed and not when its free...ussually shouldnt it be the oposite if the clutch is bad? maybe im wrong any input appreciated.

car info:
2nd gen 3sgte sway with most likey stock gt transmission (bought the car like this so that all i know)
any thing i should check for?

Probably a bad throw out bearing.

While you're at it if you don't know the car's history just go ahead and get a clutch kit and replace all of it.
