Currently running Bridgestone Potenza RE910 at 205/50/15. When I get my tax refund I'll have new rims with 215/40/17(probably Kumho 712).

I am running the stock 55/15's but I thought that for each inch that you went up in rim size you needed to drop your tire profile by 10 which would mean that to run a 17" rim you would need to run a 35 profile to maintain the correct outside diameter. Or am I wrong?

Stock is actually 195/60/R15 I believe, on the Alloy. The correct 17in height would be 40...
