I know the topic of Electric turbos has been raised (or maybe it was on another forum-not sure) but this came up in the GT4 list.

electric supercharger kit

This is supposed to be really working. I would like some more input from the knowledgable members of this list. Will this thing work as they say? Any volunteers?

I worried that I would have to flame you for another electric supercharger post

but that looks like it might actually work, but unfortunately it only works for a maximum of 15 seconds at a time, so its like nitrous in it only produces a short boost of power. and at $2,000 buh, I dunno if its worth it.

it does work

its a regular roots style SC but the pulley assembly was swaped for a 3 motor setup

lasts 15 seconds and needs like 3 extra 12v batteries to run.

I bought that electric supercahrger the E-Turbo...lol the one I said I'd try out for you all. LOL, it was funny how weird it sounded as it turned on and didn't work...I was pissed...luckily I was careful when oing the 5 minutes installation and I sold it on ebay for 50 bucks more than I bought it for...what a joke.

Yeah, thats the thing people don't get....Its totally possible to make an electric supercharger work and provide hp gains, but with current technology its not feasible. Whats the point when its $2k, you can only use it for 15sec and you have to carry around 100lbs+ of batteries?????

Give it a decade or so and perhaps the battery and motor industries will have a few more capabilities but its still not going to be a full time, 100% duty cycle thing.
