Has anyone ever used one in their 6gc? How does it compare to the stock? 40% less throw? How hard was the installation? Im guessing it'll be the same as installing a TRD one. Thanks.

Many people use them in their celicas.
Installation is pretty darn easy (10minutes)
and the throw length and shifter hight are MUCH better.

10 minutes! Took me about 30.

The shifter base bushings that come with the kit are phenomenal, MUCH better than the speed source ones.

the TRD shifter is usually the whole unit, this is just the shifter stalk.

What if I only get the twm shifter stick only? None of the accessories like the bushing? Will the stock do? Or will that defeat the purpose?

From what I've read you need the bushing 'cause the play a role on how high the shifter assembly is.
I've also read about a substitute, washers.

they do compensate for a bit of the height reduction.

I would buy them separately then. I cant find a way to express how great they are and how much better they are than the speed source ones. just get them

ill even provide the link.
http://www.twmperformance.com/hardware.htm

you'll need the hardware to install it anyways, one of the clips isnt really reusable when you disassemble and I doubt thatll be included when you buy the shifter from the guy, the kit comes with longer mounting bolts for the increased spacing of the base bushings

America has slave shops all over the world. Most company hotlines are overseas. Lol.

I know, that's why I refuse to buy something made in China especially if it's an American company.

Refuse to but dont really got any choice nowadays. Most of the stuff is made over seas. I believe even ford I'd made in Mexico.

As long as the workers are treated fairly it's not as big of an issue for me, but those they call slave shops it's the damned truth. Anyhow, back on topic. TWM if you have the money and want to support your local economy, or go eBay if you don't have the money.

I have an eBay 7gc "Megan" short shifter and haven't had any problems with it. Probably not actually Megan but it still works just fine.
