Hello everyone! I have a 1991 gts 2.2 5sfe and a friend of mine has a motor from a 89 celica gts 2.0 3sge motor with a bad piston rod in it so he says i can have the head for 200 bucks! ( my head is blown btw ) i dont wanna go turbo yet but i told him i want the ecu and wire harnest n maybe some sensors and intake and exhaust manifolds. I have read the hp is lower n has no high end but i wanna do the turbo later. What all should i take other then what i have already said? Injectors? Should i get different injectors? Timing? Etc. thank you for the help guys i know most will not like the swap saying too much work and maybe same hp and tq. Idk about all that i just want my own hand made my way unique celica smile.gif

i dont think the 1st gen 3sge head will bolt to the 91 5sfe block, i know 2nd gen 3s will but im not aure about 1st gen and u wont gain power, the 3s pistons is what is needed to run that head to make power, this is what i heard from others i know that put a 3s head on 5s block. i just did the full 3s swap i didnt mess with the 5s

you need to confirm that the sensors are all in the right place. I doubt the head will align with the block too. but you never know. how do you know your head is blown?
