Ok. So if I were to ship my car to New Zealand, what will I have to do to make it road legal there?
Do I have to revert my ST205 to stock?

Not too sure myself as I haven't imported a vehicle into my own country.

But here's the website with the info to help you

http://nzta.govt.nz/vehicle/importing/index.html

It will need certifying for some of the mods though like the adj. suspension, & if you've removed the airbags?

Wow. A lot of stuff I need to read.
Importing side I can just use a shipping firm which can sort out most of the documents.
I hope I dont have to revert much as thats a lot of stock parts im going to need to source.

I wouldn't think you would have to change much if anything. From the looks of it as long as it can pass standard tests like warrant of fitness and emissions tests it should be ok. If you have anything that would need a cert (different seats, coilovers, major engine modifications etc..) you might need to get them certed once here as it won't pass the wof if they are not.

Maybe the best thing is to call the NZTA and just ask them what you would need to do that way there is no surprises when you get it here smile.gif

Have a couple of friends who took their Gt4 s to Australia, if NZ is anything like Aus then you will pretty much have to return it to stock and has to be spotlessly clean....and be prepared to jump through some hoops too.

So question.... since you're moving to NZ does that mean you'll be making Celica parts over here?

Australia is a bit weird depending on the state, since some you can't have a visible airfilter, & the intercooler has to be meshed off, because apparently its a hot surface?

I'll ask around and see what the go is mods wise. We have emission testing? or is that just when the car comes into the country?
