I've always liked the 6 celica and finally have one. I just bought a red 96 manual celica and I find it really hard to find details about the engines in celica. I'm hoping someone could tell me the differences between the engines I'm reading about of here. Things like hp, ft-lbs, compression ratios/ which engines accept turbos better. Any come with forged internals? Any info you guys could tell me about these great looking cars would be great. I also still can't decide if I want to lift the 6gc and inch or lower and inch. Or just stiffen up at stock height. The problem with lowering is I live on top of a rather large hill and a lifted jeep cherokee is the only vehicle I have found that can get up my driveway in the winter. Making the celica a summer car.

Thanks that does help a lot. But still wondering if the 7afe or 5sfe have have cast or forged internals
