well anyways its the combination meter.

section about the Bulb check. Its next to the brake warning light, and hazards.

it shows that its fed by the wire coming in from IJ1 (17) and from II1 (5). which is either the clutch and the park/neutral switch.

is it from the manual to IJ1 and from the auto to II1, or both at the same? I cannot find reference as to what it does...

do they junction on the engine harness? I dont have a manual harness to see.

If you shoot me a text tonight around 7:30 or 8,I can check the harness in my car and my spare harness. One is a manual, one is auto.

Checking resistance, I am seeing that they are connected on both my auto trans harness and my manual trans harness. I didn't have time to open up my spare harness to track down the junction but they are definitely connected somewhere, and present in both harnesses.

In reference to the auto to manual swap thread, I believe you are dealing with the same wire as the black wire referenced here:

QUOTE
Part 4 Wiring

-Take the fat grey plug and find the 2 big slots which should be a black wire and a black wire with a yellow stripe. They are numbers 5 and 6 on the plug casing.(some cars may have a different color wire, it should still be the same slots however)
-Cut these 2 wires and wire them together. Use heat shrink or something to protect them from water and shortages.
-This will start your car without having to depress the clutch pedal. If you want the clutch to start the car you will need to find a starter relay to make it work.
