I usually put high octane petrol in my tank and sometimes if im in autozone or walmart ill buy a bottle of octane booster and put it in my tank. I dont really notice a big difference, in fact none at all. A friend told me that its better to put it in at half tank to make it more concentrated. Does it make a difference? is it good for your engine???

I'd put it in before you fill your tank, right as it gets to wheerver your spot is that you normally fill it at (when mine gets to 1/4 tank that's when I do it). It doesn't really help, but gives you can extra .7 to 1.0 octane rating higher, depending on how much octane points it says it boosts. Get one that is accompanied by a fuel system cleaner and it will help keep your fuel system a bit cleaner. Personally, I just buy a $3 can of seafoam, dump a quarter can into my crankcase and the rest in my fuel. It's just as good as any other fuel injector cleaner or octane booster.

Seafoam is an excellent cleaner for almost everything on your car smile.gif
Check your local shops or search on google.
