Check out www.tcpglobal.com For something like the Celica you should only need a gallon of paint and then a gallon of thinner for a total of two gallons of sprayable paint. You'll need things like masking tape and plastic sheeting. Doing a pearl you'll need clear as well, a sprayable gallon should be enough. Maybe a gallon of sprayable primer as well. If there are any dings and etc... you'll need some body filler along with lower grits like 200, 300, and 400 to smooth it out. If you're just needing to knock sheen off paint to lay primer 800 is what you'll need, if you're wanting to wetsand and polish the paint you'll need higher grits starting at 2,000 and working your way up until you get into buffing and polishing compounds. Then once the paint has fully cured you'll want to do your polishing and waxing.

Silly question but have you ever sprayed a car before, or anything like it? If not I highly suggest having someone else do the actual painting since you're wanting to do a pearl paint. You could get it to the point it's in primer, but laying pearl or metallic paints you really need to know what you are doing.

I can verify that you will need 3/4-1 gallon of primer for 3 coats on the hatchbacks
1 gallon and one pint of paint if doing single stage.

For pearl you'll need 3/4 a gallon of paint and 1 gallon of clear and depending on how strong of a pearl effect you want. If you want something similar to blizzard pearl the Toyota pearl white, 1 coat of clear, then 2 of the clear mixed with pearls(1 teaspoon/quart of reduced clear) then one more just clear. If you don't plan to buff and polish the paint (wait 3 months for the paint to fully dry if you do plan on it) don't do the last clear coat. If you want diamond white pearl, the Lexus pearl white, one coat of clear, then 1 coat of pearl mixed at 2 teaspoons/quart of reduced clear, then 1 coat of pearl at 1 teaspoon/quart of reduced clear, then one clear coat.

Make sure the color coats are dry before clearing.

This is how the shop I work at now does it according to the painters, of course you can select your white base color. Good luck!

On a side note, as box said its a bit tricky, but if you do paint yourself, go slow, more light coats is better than one coat that's too heavy that will cause drips and ruin the day in the booth

If you're renting a booth getting another shot wont be fun if you mess up paying them the labor cost for one of their guys to spray it is well worth the money vs waiting another week at a busy shop.

You'll need at least two days at a shop incase you were wondering
