I'm posting this in OT because it's not really about the Celica, it's about making the rear trailing arm suspension for our dune buggy at school.
Lately I've been looking at the rear knuckle assembly of the Celica, and it's basically a trailing arm setup with the arm fastened into a bolt/bushing connection on the bottom of the knuckle. Where as last year we welded the trailing arm directly to the cup we put the wheel bearing in. If the trailing arm is fastened more like the Celica then we could have the whole knuckle made out of aluminum on a CnC machine and the tabs for mounting the shock, trailing arm, and adjustment links would already be a part of it. But the problem is my Celica is a FWD and I was hoping some of you guys have some clear pics of the GT4 knuckle and wheel bearing setup so that I can better see the difference in how it works with a CV axle stuffed into the middle of it. Is it just a matter of having the hub with teeth to mate the CV axle or is the Wheel bearing and everything quite different? Thanks a bunch -------------------- Bust a Deal; Face the Wheel.
