Hi i have recently bought a celica 1996 manual and was suprised to hear that apparently the engine was swapped for one out of a curren (3sfe) and i want to put either a stock 3sge or something that is a straight bolt it and prefferebly same looms etc if that possible i ave done a couple manual conversions so am not horrible with working on them but i am not around many people who know even was a 3sfe is haha and help would be mad cheers.

If you just want to go back to stock, why don't you find a car that someone is breaking and buy the engine and loom?

That way, it's simply a matter of remove and replace engine. If you can do a manual conversion, an OEM engine swap shouldn't be an issue.

Happened to me as well, someone put a 3sfe in a GT here. Just put a 5s back in it.
