Ok....sooo....I know it's a bit late for me to start it but might as well do it now. Lol. I bought my 1997 Toyota Celica GT for $4,500 on February 27, 2012. It had 175,000 miles on the cluster. It was in very good condition. The only problem I had on it was it had a CEL light on. Which was just the speed sensor in the cluster not working. Replaced that and the CEL was cleared. Also my car didn't pass emissions test but I eventually had that fixed after running on premium and Lucas Cleaner. Overall I was more than happy to pay the overpriced $4500.
Winner of May 2014 COTM "This car is not about racing, this car is not about power; performance, it's purely about being cool." Previous Owner: http://www.6gc.net/members/9609 Very ricey and not my flavor. Here's a link to my FB album of my car. It has all of my pics of my silly97. https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.2...0238&type=3 Here some things my car had on when I first bought it: Bone stock performance 7GC GTS Rims AG Lowering Springs JDM Tail lights Stock side skirts 2post spoiler Rear tinted windows Window stickers Here's what I've done to it so far: Performance Injen Short Ram Intake Suspension Megan Coilovers Ichiba Spacers 15mm and extended lug studs all around Eibach Camber Bolt Fender Rolled All Around Exterior 3k Hi halogen bulb 8k Lo HiD conversion 3k halogen fog light bulb Amber turn signal bulb Clear side lights TRD Roof Spoiler REPLICA(Hi-C) OEM SSIII front grill Tom's Front Lip REPLICA(Zonz540) Enkei RPF1 17x8 +45Front +35Rear Nankang NS1 205/40/17 Interior TRD Shift Boot SpreeLED White Gauge Lights GT4 Rear Strut Bar I do have a set of GT4 splitters that are waiting to be painted. The rest of my plans for my car is to get it repainted and installed with the gt4 splitters. I want to go wit the Supra Limited Edition Silver code 1B9. I also want to get a custom exhaust. I really want the JDM projectors also. We will see what else will be added onto my list as days goes by. Lol. Also I'm planning to keep my silly FOREVER!!! damn, you and JoshuaM are way ahead of me. I gotta get me some projectors so I can keep up with you two! hahahah. if only it were possible I would love to get our cars together and shoot photos of them. lol! You've had plenty of time... Tisk tisk Haha, yeah... I'll need to follow Box back on one of his famous weekly trips accross the pacific (See running joke in Today I... thread ). Sorry to keep you guys waiting but never had a right time to take a pic of my car. So I finally took some after work. Will take better pics whenever I get some time to clean and take it out for a photoshoot. Went from 8k lo to 5k lo. I couldn't stand driving around with 8k. So hard to see. Lol. Looking Good! XD Is that pic with the 8k lights installed? Looks very blue And has anybody made custom crystal style fog lights shaped to our current housings before? Looks much better mate looks fantastic You need a Toyota badge in the middle though a black one would suit The previous owner had debadged the car and added toyota emblem decals to cover the holes. I had removed them because I'd rather have a debadged car than a decaled car. Lol. Thank you. looks great. clear fog lights would complete it Thanks. You meant clear fogs as in the lighting? I was thinking of changing the lighting to 5k too. Not sure yet though. beautiful! Thanks Cheela. Sorry to keep you guys waiting but never had a right time to take a pic of my car. (I was thinking about this for myself ) It has the 5k in it. For some reason. If you look into the housing it'll look more blue than when you look at the lightout. It's close to normal to white. Just perfect for my bad eyesight. Lol. -------------------- |

I had to scrap up change to get my parts and somehow $600 headlights didn't seem to fit in my budget. hahahah. but yes, if box can make it across the pacific in his than you should have no problem. hahahah -------------------- *1997 Celica ST - 3SGE Greytop BEAMS *1977 Celica RA29 - Classic Cruiser *2005 Matrix AWD - dedded but still hanging around like a ghost 2019 Rav4 XLE Premium - Sports mode is fun. |

Looking good. Just makes you wish the projector headlights had been standard equipment.

Nooooooooo!!! Found out that my drivers side cv boot is torn. Looks like it's been torn for at least a month or two now. Man....I hated replacing my passenger side and now I'm going to need to replace my drivers side sometime in the next month or two.

Duct tape! If you can't duck it, fück it. Haha. A lil too late for that. I was going to take my car in for an alignment tomorrow but I'd rather wait til I get my axle replaced first. So I wouldn't have to take it in again. -------------------- |

Just means you need more duct tape. Yeah, I'd just wait until you have the new cv axle installed before having it aligned as well.
