I've been thinking about doing this, but I wanted to get some feedback 1st. Are there any problems b/c of the engine being exposed? Also how hard is it to keep the paint from chipping. Any info, especially from ppl that have done this, would be helpful. Thanx.

I've wanted to do this, but I can't find any good looking vents and don't have time to make my own. I want them to look like the M3GTR ones (or like PTG's 2003 WC GT cars)
EDIT: There shouldn't be any problem with them as long as you think about where you put them. Water getting into the spark plug holes would be the only hard problem to solve. Put the vents more toward the sides (they'll get more airflow there also). This post has been edited by SpedToe169: Mar 10, 2004 - 4:37 PM |

Agreed, triangles bliah,
the 6gc is based on curves so i do not think triangles work. if you check out the GT4 hood you will see there is no straight line anywhere. I would suggest you use that for ideas. Furthermore, I strongly suggest you get a CF hood, especially the one in buying/selling section for the 2 following major reasons. 1. You keep you stock one if you change your mind 2. CF hood design almost as nice as the GT4 hood Also, performance wise, the CF hood is much lighter than the stock one. here is the link for the GB CF HOOD GB |

I say if you've got the money then by all means, go for it. That's an easy way to get a nice custom look that also looks sweet.
