ok I pay $220.00 a month on my celica for 2 years, and on a monthly average I bring in around $700 - 800 a month at my job after insurence and gas I am left with around $200 at the end of the month (given that I dont have a girl friend that month). I am stuck, one day I want to buy parts for my engine, another day I want to lower my car, and then another I want to get body parts. And today a supra passed by me and I thought hmmm if I save that money month after month then maybe I can afford a down payment on one. It's driving me crazy haha. So what do you guys think I should buy with the average $200 i'll have every month. Hmmm maybe I should buy a wrecked supra?

I'd say sound system biggrin.gif

Out of everything I've done to my car I think that is the most worth the money.

id say save it, if something breaks and you spent all your money, your FOCKED. plus then if nothing breaks, you can buy something a little nicer later on.

Its hard to save everything, maybe do a 50/50 or a 60/40. The more money u make the more money u spend. I make around $1000-1200 a week before taxes and its tough to keep it .

I really hate when I save up to mod, and then I get hit with repairs
it never fails, but its better than modding first, then having no money fo repairs

if you have a goal, once you start saving its alot easier (im in college too biggrin.gif) but about 2 months ago i was like "ok im gonna save for my bodykit/paint/rims" and after a month of saving know how much money i had? $50. so im like dam, not gonna save any money this way... so i just STOP spending money completely, unless its food/gas/bills, cuz those $5 here, $10 there... they all add up... now after a month, i already got close to $700 saved up biggrin.gif, and now i dont want to spend money, cuz im that much closer biggrin.gif

BODYKIT!!! if you dont want to save it....? Even without rims the car will look hot, not to mention a kit will change the entire look of the vehicle!!!
Good luck, and don't get discouraged!

oh no, im saving up for it all at once... i could prolly get the body kit right now... but then id have to get it painted at the same time, becuase an unmatched body kit is just ghetto... and i wont have that... and i dont my stockers with hubcaps on right now... and you CANT have a bodykit with hubcaps... ghetto once again... so im just waiting till i have about $1200 saved up, then ill be all set for my kit, cheap rims, and cheap paint till i can save up to get nice rims/nice paint...

1200 isnt leaving much room there, especially with wheels.

your probably lookin at:
500-750 for the kit
400 for just about the cheapest NEW rims w/ tires you can get
450ish for paint + whatever extra for custom modification to get the kit to fit correctly
+ kit shipping + wheel shipping (if applicable)
so right there you are lookin at around 1350-1600 before the shipping costs and custom modifications.

kit + z3 fenders is $535 shipped... jon(itchy_b) is gonna help me put on my kit, he did his himself and it looks great. so thats that. rims i plan on spending about $400 for a cheap set, only like 15's or or 16's if i can get them... i was looking for GT-S rims (passed up a set for $250 a couple of months ago... kicking myself now...) then i plan on just getting one of those cheap $300 maaco jobs just so it doenst look completely ghetto... i only need it to last like 6 months till i save up a nice chunk of money to get a nice paint job on it... dont worry k2, ive done my research biggrin.gif

Z3 fenders should stay on Z3's. No me gustan.

And it was really REALLY hard for me to turn down a Alpine 6.5'' LCD in dash CD player...i'm still trying to figure out what i can sell.

i would prefer stock ones, but both my stock ones are f*'d up, so z3 are the best option money wise...

and im getting the kit from www.cyberbestbuy.com, heard alot of good things from there, plus thats where john got his kit, and it went on fine... $130 front bumper, $130 sideskirts, and $110 fenders, $165 shipping... i think im gonna look into curren OEM extensions for the rear eventually, only good thing for a coupes a$$ that looks good IMO...
